What is Vienor and how does it work?
Vienor is a weather alert system designed for agriculture. It monitors your fields' weather conditions every 30 minutes and sends automatic push and email alerts when it detects risk conditions such as frost, strong wind, heavy rain, or high temperatures.
What weather data does it use?
We integrate up to 6 global models simultaneously (ECMWF, GFS, YR.no, Tomorrow.io, ICON/DWD and Visual Crossing) with up to 16 days of forecast range. Alerts are checked automatically every 30 minutes.
Can I monitor several fields at once?
Vienor Pro includes up to 5 fields, each with location-specific forecasts and alerts. Contact us for more than 5 fields or to manage multiple farms.
What else does Vienor include besides alerts?

Can I compare alerts across fields and time periods?
Yes. In Analytics, you can choose Field A and Field B independently (or all fields) and compare preset periods or custom dates within the available history. Results include total alerts, days with alerts, counts by type, and differences, with warnings when historical coverage is incomplete.
How do I receive alerts?
Alerts are sent via browser or mobile push notifications and by email. You can configure which alert types to receive, the specific threshold, and the channel, according to each field's needs.
Can I customize alert thresholds?
Absolutely. You can create custom rules defining the alert type (frost, wind, rain, heat, storm), the specific threshold, and the severity. For example, you can set a frost alert when the temperature drops below 2°C instead of the default value of 0°C.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Vienor is a progressive web app (PWA) that runs directly from the browser. You can add it to your phone's home screen to use it like a native app, with no need to download anything from an app store.
